Samsung Digital Imaging adds a 12 megapixel point and shoot to its digital camera line-up for 2010 - the durable Samsung ES73. Thanks to its elements focused design, the Samsung ES73 grants peace of mind and allows users to focus on taking the perfect shot, rather than worrying about damage to the camera.
One of the biggest and most remarkable booths at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona was Samsungs. It was remarkable and majestic, and at the same time with a spectacular introduction of the Samsung Wave, Samsungs first Bada smartphone with a amazing Super AMOLED display. And despite its large surface area, Samsung managed to keep the whole thing well-organized. The different software Apps in combination with the new Samsung Wave Smartphone were displayed separately, each with a Samsung employee for the necessary text and explanation. This way, all the extensive function and application possibilities that a modern cell phone has these days, were well presented.
Samsung announced the TL110 and TL105 ultra-slim digital cameras.
The Samsung TL110 features 14.2 megapixels, a 2.7-inch LCD, 27mm wide-angle lens with 5x optical zoom, Dual Image Stabilization and is 0.65 inches thin. The Samsung TL105 features 12.2 megapixels, a 2.7-inch LCD, 27.5mm wide-angle lens with 4x optical zoom, and Digital Image Stabilization.
In addition to the long miles walking, attending various press events, meeting the Japanese relations of the imaging industry and receiving the information about (upcoming) product introductions, I went out to take photos with the new Samsung NX10 system camera. Although the Samsung NX10 camera and the 18-55mm zoom are both beta samples, you may get an idea of what this new Samsung camera system is capable of. So bear in mind that these beta test photos may not fully represent the final quality! The new Samsung camera system was, more or less, first mentioned around IFA 2008. Form that time the process of the development of the Samsung NX10 was announced.
Samsung Mobile Display (SMD) will be demonstrating three leading-edge, next generation OLED displays at Pepcoms Digital Experience ! press event during the Consumer Electronic Show, at the Mirage Hotel on Wednesday, January 6th from 7 to 10 pm. This 14-inch 3D panel is the world's first OLED display that features qFHD resolution (960x 540), a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, a color gamut of over 100% NTSC and a ultra-slim design with a panel thickness of only 1.6mm - providing outstanding brightness and exceptional image quality. Image switching on this prototype panel is fast enough to eliminate optical crosstalk between the two 3D images.
Samsung has finally made an official announcement about the DSLR-alternative concept camera they teased us with almost a year ago at the 2009 PMA tradeshow. Displayed behind glass in the Samsung PMA booth, the concept camera got a lot of attention even though Samsung had very little information to offer. After months with no follow-up, it looked like maybe they were going to let it fade away.

Samsung Electronics, a mobile phone provider, unveiled the Samsung M5650, a music-focused addition to its popular line-up of full touch screen cell phones for young mobile users. Following on the launch of the Samsung Corby (S3650), the Samsung M5650 cell phone further strengthens Samsungs offering for digitally savvy young users who seek colorful and bold designs, easy connectivity and great functionality. Tailored for music lovers, the Samsung M5650 mobile phone is equipped with a one-touch key for listening to your favorite tunes on top of all the diverse features of the Samsung Corby, which swept the global market with sales of 3.5 million units within two months of its launch in September.
We expect that shortly a new Samsung digital compact camera will be introduced. The Samsung CL80 is expected to be introduced most likely around the time of the CES 2010 (January 7th-11th) or at the end of January 2010. The design of this digital megazoom camera is a minimalistic, slim-lined modern shape, in other words, a camera without all too many buttons. In their place, the design department at Samsung has derived a 3.7-inch touchscreen that actually covers the entire backside of the Samsung CL80 camera. The Samsung CL80 is a 14.2 Megapixel digital camera with a 7x optical zoom. The Samsung CL80 further distinguishes itself due to its GPS, WLAN and Bluetooth support.
While digicams still struggle to get anywhere near to the quality of their DSLR big brothers (Panasonic LX3 excluded), they do come feature packed these days, and none more than Samsungs latest
The CL80 is equipped with just about everything you could want. The sensor is a whopping (and admittedly unnecessary) 14 megapixels with 7x optical zoom and 31mm wide angle lens, theres also 720p High Definition video recording, HDMI connectivity, a huge 3.7in AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with haptic feedback and a microSD expansion slot (though I still little reason to move away from SD).
