Remarkable affairs at the Mobile World Congress will always exist, but in the domain of manufacturers and hardware, not many things were presented at the Mobile World Congress that caused a stir. There is of course the case of Nokia that announced early on that they would not be present at the MWC 2010, at least not on the show floor. What Nokia did do, was rent a location in Barcelona at the same time of Mobile World Congress and wait for visitors to show up. It is hard for us to say if this was a good idea. In any case, we did not go, and seeing the publications written about Nokia, we dont get the feeling that this was a bad decision.

PARIS (Reuters Life!) - Prestigious Paris restaurant La Tour d'Argent made over 1.5 million euros ($2.2 million) from auctioning off a selection of wines and liqueurs from its cellar, one of the finest in the world.

The sale of 18,000 bottles out of the 450,000 stored in a maze of dark alleys beneath the restaurant, located on the left bank of the River Seine, was meant to clear some space and raise funds for the purchase of new wines and for renovations.

Leathers
Aside from the usual leather accessorises and jackets, this Spring Summer we will be buying leather dresses , tops, and even one pieces. Colours include tans, browns, and blacks.

Minimal
90s minimal is back for Spring Summer 2010. Clean lines and simple styling were seen at Cacharel, Celine, and Givenchy.

Evening Whites
Instead of bright colours or pastels, Spring Summer 2010's evening wear will include a lot of white. Chloe had layered sheer fabrics, while Givenchy had ruffles and Hussein Chalayan's best red carpet piece was a simple white full-length number.

IT's time to cast your fashion vote: Rock Chic or Romance? That's the question VogueTV posed to fashion's top editors and buyers at Paris Fashion Week, prompting a mixed (Balenciaga) bag of responses.

"Everything has been softened this season," Vogue's fashion director Kate Phelan told us. The Daily Telegraph's Hilary Alexander agrees that it's all about Romance - after all, "it's what we all really want", she says with a smile.
