After years of research, Microsoft hopes to provide a system that lets data communications weave through TV frequencies.

BOSTON (Reuters) - A security research firm said it discovered another set of vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer, a day after Microsoft Corp patched the Web browser following a high-profile cyber attack on Google in China.

The software maker issued a patch on Thursday to fight malicious software that was used in the attack on Google Inc and dozens of other companies which operate in China.

Research firm Core Security Technologies said on Friday that it discovered another set of vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer that hackers can link together and exploit, to remotely access all of the data on a personal computer.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp said on Tuesday it will launch its long-awaited Windows Azure cloud computing system on Jan 1, as it looks to take advantage of the growing interest in internet-based software and services.

Azure, which provides an online platform for software developers to create their own programs, and space for customers to store data, was rolled out for experimentation a year ago.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp co-founder Paul Allen has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and has begun treatment, a spokesman for his investment company said on Monday.

Employees of Vulcan Inc, which Allen formed in 1986 to manage his business dealings and philanthropic activity, were informed of Allen's illness in a company e-mail on Monday.
