Choice Hotels Europe, the company behind the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands and one of the largest and most successful lodging franchisors in the world, today announced the launch of its 2012 European Hotel Directory which includes details of nearly 500 hotels located in 13 European countries.

The 2012 Directory includes details of the 25 new Choice-brand hotels opened in Europe during the first half of 2011, including the Comfort Inn Hyde Park, the Clarion Hotel Château Belmont in Tours, France, and the Clarion Collection Hotel Frankfurt City in Germany.

Two second-half goals gave Mexico their first ever victory over France to leave El Tri well-placed to make the last 16 and the 2006 runners-up on the verge of elimination.

Mexico were the brighter of the two throughout but were unable to take any of their chances until just after the hour, when substitute Javier Hernandez broke the offside trap and rounded keeper Hugo Lloris before slotting home.

Eager for the Apple iPad? You'll finally be able to get your hands on the tablet in the U.S. starting Saturday, April 3.

Apple announced Friday that the Wi-Fi version of the iPad will launch in the United States on that date, followed by the Wi-Fi + 3G edition later in the month.
Additionally, both versions will hit Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the U.K. in late April.
