As the following information leaked from Sonys website, and it became within minutes talk of the town, we decided to share this early pre-announcement news with you. Soon, we may expect the launch of the new Sony Cybershot HX100V. This new Sony camera incorporates a mixture of technologies, not only from a regular Cybershot but also from Handycam and Alpha DSLR series. Like some of the Cybershots introduced at CES 2011, the Sony HX100V features a 16.2-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and a powerful BIONZ imaging processor for high-speed signal processing. Furthermore the Sony Cybershot HX100V features a 30x optical zoom (27-810mm: 35mm equiv.) with Hi-speed AF-technology.
Beautifully slim, lightweight and easy to use, the Sony CyberShot TX9 boasts exciting new features for outstanding still picture quality compared with conventional compact cameras. Capable of shooting detail-packed Full HD (1920 x 1080, 50i) AVCHD movie clips, the Sony Cyber-shot TX9 is the first Cyber-shot camera that can capture amazing 3D images to enjoy on any 3D-compatible TV.
For the first time ever, 3D Sweep Panorama lets you shoot incredible 3D images without needing a bulky, complex double-lens camera system. Just press the shutter button and the advanced Exmor R CMOS Sensor inside the Sony CyberShot TX9 captures a high-speed burst of frames as you sweep the camera from side to side.
Sony had one of the busier and more interesting booths at PMA this year. Not only did they make the biggest announcement of the show (see Sony Compact Alpha Announcement), they also had some new and exciting compact Cybershot cameras, two of which were featuring here in videos from the Sony booth.
There are indications that Sony will soon introduce a new Cyber-shot W-camera. The model name Sony Cybershot DSC-W390 has been mentioned, and this will bring us to a new generation of Sony Cybershot W-series cameras. In 2005, Sony launched the Sony DSC-W1, a 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom. After that, several generations were introduced, and we now seem to have arrived at the most recent generation available, that of the Sony W390.
