Outrageous Prints
Prints are bold, bright, and outrageous for Spring Summer 2010, with a lot of designers choosing to mix up different shocking prints. Anna Sui's prints were 70s inspired, seen on mini dresses and tights, while Thakoon mixed up different colored prints in his signature draped dresses.

Sheer Layering
Sheer fabrics were in abundance on the New York catwalks, often seen layered over smaller pieces. Zac Posen featured sheer black evening trousers, while Ralph Lauren paired an oversized sheer white shirt over a white slip.

Accessorized Dresses
Working from basic shapes, designers have accessorized their evening pieces with tassel trim at Dolce & Gabanna, beadwork at Gucci, and caging at Alberta Ferretti.

Corset Shaping
Many designers turned to corsetry for inspirations for their Spring Sumer 2010 collections including Dolce & Gabanna, Versace, and Just Cavalli.

Leathers
Aside from the usual leather accessorises and jackets, this Spring Summer we will be buying leather dresses , tops, and even one pieces. Colours include tans, browns, and blacks.

Minimal
90s minimal is back for Spring Summer 2010. Clean lines and simple styling were seen at Cacharel, Celine, and Givenchy.

Evening Whites
Instead of bright colours or pastels, Spring Summer 2010's evening wear will include a lot of white. Chloe had layered sheer fabrics, while Givenchy had ruffles and Hussein Chalayan's best red carpet piece was a simple white full-length number.
