Sony was a latecomer to digital SLRs. But dont let that fool you into thinking they dont have game. About six years ago they bought all of Konica-Minoltas digital SLR patents and a few months later they released their digital SLR, the Sony Alpha A100.
There was a lot of skepticism about Sonys ability to make a competitive digital SLR. But the A100 showed the doubters that Sony was serious and capable.
Sony has since proved their commitment to the digital SLR market after their last round of announcements (August 2011) theyve arguably become the most innovative DSLR manufacturer.

Sony is actually just a rookie in terms of DSLR cameras. Although they have vast experience, surging from their take-over of Konica Minolta, it was only a few years ago that the first Sony Alpha camera was brought out onto the market. With the introduction of the Sony Alpha 55, Sony seems to be making progress in leaps and bounds. The camera distinguishes itself from the competition with innovative techniques and different features with which Sony proves itself as a DSLR manufacturer. The Sony A55 is the first Alpha camera that is based on the so-called Translucent Mirror technique. This is in fact an old technique, modernized and given a facelift.

Mozilla late Thursday released the first public preview of its mobile browser, and took the unusual step of offering it in versions for desktop PCs and Macs to collect feedback.
